What is Vibration Control
What makes the patented vibration damping from Bosch stand out?
The Bosch vibration damping principle is based on the separation of motor housing and handle by a damping element (Vibration Control). On the Bosch Hammers GBH 5-40 DE Professional and GSH 5 E Professional, a specially balanced, multi-stage spring system on the top of the handle ensures that only a small amount of vibration is conveyed to the user. At the same time, a joint on the bottom of the handle ensures good guidance and stability.
The angle grinders and mini grinders from Bosch also have this vibration damping, which makes them the lowest vibration angle grinders on the market. The Bosch- patented vibration damping excels due to three unique core elements:
1. Main handle and auxiliary handle do not make direct contact with the motor housing. The damping element (Vibration Control) also decouples these two and ensures that vibration is hardly conveyed to the user.
2. The damping element (Vibration Control) is tuned to the vibration frequencies of the machine and application, enabling it to dampen the vibration perfectly.
3. And the special feature offered only by Bosch: Safety. Special bolts are used on the auxiliary handle and main handle, which guarantee permanent connection of the handle, even if the damping element is damaged. Therefore, this patented design allows for optimum damping by means of decoupling, while simultaneously maintaining a high level of safety.
Other systems are only partially decoupled, making them less effective. Although Autobalancers reduce vibration at no load, they hardly reduce it during operation, which is where the main risk occurs. The effect of the double damping by means of complete decoupling of the main handle and auxiliary handle is still unbeatable.
