Highest protection. Toecaps tested to 200 Joule, Classification S.
SB Safety Basic 200 Joule Protection
S1 200 Joule Toecap Protection. Closed seat region (fully enclosed heel). Antistatic properties.

S2 200 Joule Toecap protection. Closed seat region (fully enclosed heel). Antistatic properties.

Additional safety features
Should these products offer some extra protective feature then the appropriate symbol would be
added i.e. a product that provided 200 Joule impact protection, was antistatic and had a heat
resistant outsole would be marked SB A HRO

Safety Footwear Standards
Safety footwear standards EN345 is being superseded by EN ISO 20345.
Protective footwear standard EN346 is being superceded by EN ISO 20346.
Any footwear that has been tested to EN 345 can continue to be sold, however any new designs will have to be tested to new standards.
Which standard your footwear is tested to is identified on the product information label, this is found
within the boot or shoe.
