Klingspor SMT 976 - The cool one CEVOLUTION ceramic is part of the new range of mop discs

These Klingspor flap disc has been specifically designed and optimised for use on stainless steel by the expert engineers at Klingspor Abraisves. The cool one has a multi-band coating and self-sharpening effects that convinces with aggressive grinding and longer service life than the predecessor when machining tough materials.

Added multi-bond coating helps to reduce the grinding temperature in the grinding zone which makes the Klingspor SMT 976 ideal for stainless steel and delays premature clogging when used on non-ferrous metals and aluminium.

Key Benefits:

  • For use on stainless steel
  • Self-sharpening effect
  • Multi-bond coating
  • Long service life

Benefits of the Klingspor SMT 976

  • Optimised Performance: The abrasives used have also been engineered to work with high-speed angle grinders (80 m/s) and are designed to offer a wide range of possible applications. The optimised arrangement of the grinding flaps ensures first-rate grinding performance, long service lives and optimised utilisation to the end.
  • Sustained high performance: The cloth flaps are coated with zirconia alumina, ceramic or aluminium oxide and spaced equally on the backing plate. The optimised cloth-reinforced backing guarantees the operator a fresh grit and thus, consistent removal throughout the entire work process.
  • Extraordinary stability: The backing plates included in our SMT range are made of glass fibre or glass-fibre-reinforced plastics. They are extremely hard-wearing and deliver optimal power transmission to the workpiece.
  • Tried-and-tested safety: A special manufacturing process ensures an exceptionally strong bond between the backing plate and grinding flaps and produces a level of break resistance that easily exceeds the provisions of the oSa and EN 13743 standards.

The Klingspor SMT 976 is suitable for:

  • Metals
  • Steel
  • Stainless steel
  • High-alloy stainless steels
  • NF metals
  • Aluminium
  • Pain
  • Varnish
  • Plastics
  • Wood
