Nitrogen gas is used for industrial processes such as Heat treatmentWelding & Laser Cutting. Also, filling of tyres for an increased lifetime.

Shielding Gas in Welding and Brazing: Preventing Oxidation: Nitrogen acts as a protective blanket around the weld or braze area, displacing Oxygen and other atmospheric gases that can react with the molten metal at high temperatures. This prevents the formation of oxides and scale, which can weaken the joint and lead to corrosion.

Laser Cutting: Assist Gas: In laser cutting, a high-pressure stream of Nitrogen gas is used to blow away the molten material from the cut kerf. This results in cleaner, smoother cuts and helps prevent material warping, especially when working with materials like stainless steel and aluminum.

Heat Treatment: Controlled Atmosphere: Nitrogen is used to create a non-reactive atmosphere during heat treatment processes like annealing and quenching. This removes Oxygen, preventing oxidation and helps maintain the desired metallurgical properties of the metal, resulting in stronger and more reliable final products.

Our range of industrial grade Nitrogen cylinders are available in single cylinders or in Nitrogen cylinder banks of either 6, 12 or 16 depending on your requirements. Use adequate ventilation in areas where nitrogen gas is being used to prevent exposure and asphyxiation, as Nitrogen can displace Oxygen.
