Arc welders are one of our real specialities here at Engweld. We are proud to offer a fantastic selection of arc welding machines, suitable for use in MMA (manual metal arc welding), often also referred to as stick welding. We offer arc welders from big brands such as ESAB and Bester. With our inverter arc welders, both professional and hobby welders will be in a position to achieve quality welds every time.
We offer a great selection of arc welding machines here at Engweld, ready to help you improve or begin your arc welding journey. From top-of-the-range MMA welders suitable for industry welding to simple stick welders ideal for domestic hobby welding, our collection includes the full spectrum.
Whichever arc welder you choose from our broad range, you can be assured that it will be able to create the super-hot electrical arc required to melt and bond your base material, with help from the electrode rod and the shielding gas or vapor it creates. Your MMA welder will come complete with the required welding leads and other equipment essential to the machine. We can also supply the vital arc welding consumables like consumable electrodes needed for the stick welding process, giving you everything you need to engage in this popular welding method.
Feel free to get in contact with our in-house welding experts for any further information or advice on the arc welding machines we stock or read our helpful MMA welding guides below.

Every arc welder you see here at Engweld is of a guaranteed quality, thanks to the leading manufacturers we supply. Big names like ESAB or Bester have been producing and perfecting MMA welders for a number of years, with every machine developed to ensure the best possible weld quality. Each manufacturer brings their own technology and features, so it's best to read the individual product description ahead of purchase to ensure it is suitable for your intended arc welding processes.
When it comes to welding, the terms "stick welder" and "arc welder" are often used interchangeably. The term arc welder is often used as a general term for welding that uses electrical arcs, including stick welding. A stick welder is a type of arc welder but specifically refers to the Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) process.
For general stick welding, DC+ polarity is the standard. It delivers a concentrated arc, resulting in a narrower bead profile and deeper penetration, suitable for thicker materials and strong welds.
DC- polarity, on the other hand, produces a wider, less penetrating arc, which is beneficial when working with thin sheet metal where minimizing heat input is crucial to avoid burn-through. Think of DC+ for robust welds and DC- for delicate applications.
Do you also need welding rods?
We stock a wide range of welding rods in various sizes including 2.0mm, 2.5mm, 3.2mm, 4.0mm and 5.0mm for various applications including, 6013 welding rods, 7018 welding rods, stainless steel welding rods, repair & maintenance welding rods and cellulosic welding rods.
